Nothing on this website constitutes individual clinical advice, a diagnosis, or a treatment recommendation for a particular child. Children differ, and the same behaviour can have very different explanations. If something on this site resonates, treat it as a reason to have a conversation with a professional who can actually assess your child, not as a conclusion.
Pre-Diagnostic Assessment and Diagnosis
Our occupational therapists provide assessment, therapy and reports. They do not issue diagnoses of autism, ADHD or other conditions. In Australia those diagnoses are made by medical practitioners and psychologists. Where we describe assessment support for autism or ADHD, we mean occupational therapy evidence that contributes to a diagnostic process led by an appropriately qualified clinician.
Not an Emergency Service

Clinical Review of Content
Our parent guides and service pages are written and reviewed by our senior clinical team, and carry the date they were last reviewed. Clinical understanding changes over time, and a page that has not been reviewed recently may not reflect current best practice.
